Mark Twain is killing me

I’ve been working on a Mark Twain post for two weeks now, and it’s just not coming together. It’s hard to write about stuff you kind of care about, and no matter what I decide to say about Mark Twain, I find myself second-guessing it during each day’s reading. He’s elusive, even deceptive…his writing is full of double-meanings, both of which he adamantly denies. I love it because it’s mysterious, but it’s hard to say anything useful about it. Ah, the English teacher’s burden…

In the meantime, I’ve been extremely prolific in creating page after page of new content in the new “Research Assignment” tab you’ll find in the menu at the top of the page. For those of you diligent students out there in Cyberlandia, that part of the site should have everything you need to produce the researched essay that is due on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Anyway, I’ve got to get back to the 5th draft of my Mark Twain post.
